Hello! My name is Christina Damon. I’m a Maryland-born, Baltimore-based graphic designer, photographer and videographer. I recently graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a BA in Communications and specializing in Digital Media.
My interest in creative fields began at an early age. I always excelled in arts and English classes. Once, in fourth grade, I had such a strong creative vision for a project that my teacher allowed me to work on it for weeks past the due date. I’m very passionate about what I create and when I have a strong vision, I must always see it through.
In high school, my love of art and English combined into a copy editing and layout role at my high school newspaper. I quickly acquainted myself with design principles and proofreading skills which carried me to apply to Loyola University Maryland, where I intended to specialize in Journalism under the Communications umbrella.
After a couple years at Loyola and one video and graphics course each, I realized that my true calling was Digital Media. I switched my specialization to match my interests and I’ve been on the digital path ever since. I’m well versed in most areas of media and I’ve been fortunate enough to find internships with a start-up app called GFTD and Loyola’s Marketing and Communications department. In my free time, I produce short films, take artistic and promotional photography, and do illustration.
I’m currently looking into masters degree programs and careers in design, film, or book publishing. Whatever I choose to pursue, I hope to find myself in a place where I can continue to create.
